Amber's 2011 Highlights

Thank you to all those that have been following me/my blog this year. I really enjoy sharing so its nice to know that there are others enjoying this journey with me. :D
365 days later and here I am. Stronger, wiser and more in love with JESUS. 2011 has been such a challenging year for me. I have done a lot of growing up and learnt a great deal about myself. So much has happened, including me joining twitter and starting this blog!!
I have been tweeting all morning about my 2011 lessons, as I have been reflecting. If you wish to read some of them, just go to my page @nash_amber << Click it. (",)
The biggest lessons I have learnt in 2011 are to do with Expectations, Forgiveness & Surrendering/Trust.
Lifting OFF expectations from people & focusing on their good qualities, helped me to see them through God's eyes & truly appreciate them! It also resulted in me being more & more content with my life. Truly able to APPRECIATE the things I did take for granted.

Presenting my Sweet Mother

I have been meaning to do a blog post about my sweet mother. Obviously, she has been and still is one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to fashion, styling and being a Woman. I have taken a lot from her and the older I get the more I see it. (Especially her hair)
She is such a beautiful lady caring and so hard working!! She has the most AMAZING hair ever!
On the 24th December, my Mum went to a church party and so I decided to capture her outfit. It was rather difficult getting her to just stop moving.. Lol. But I got there in the end.
I have this old photograph of her on my desk, I really love it so wanted to share it with you. :D
The Outfit

A few guys have requested I do some posts that they can relate to, and with great pleasure here is my first post for you gentlemen.
I, Nash Amber have a HUGE like towards male clothing. I do not know why, but I get very happy and smiley when I see guys that are dressed so well. I totally aim to understand the ins and outs of the male side of fashion & style. For the time being, I just wanted to share a few things, that have already caught my eye in regards to clothing for men.
Very soon I am to work alongside some gentlemen and style them, this will be one of my dreams accomplished...WhoOop!! I have a few brothers I have already targeted in my mind as ones I would like to work with...just need to connect with them.. :D
Blazers are a good investment. They can be worn casually or formally and give such an established look to any outfit and any male I think. I am yet to see someone that doesn't compliment a nice blazer.

Slim fits are a nice look for some gu…

Summer Shoot; As promised.

In August I had a photo shoot with a Creative Media Company Dvisionaiir. I have mentioned this shoot in previous blogs & I tweeted about it too but just hadn’t uploaded the photos. (Sorry about that one.) I did the shoot alongside another talented Stylist, a beautiful lady & a good friend of mine! It was so much fun!

For this shoot, I choose 2 different styles. One was a more Edgy look. I was inspired by the boots at first.
From the moment I got these boots, from a small boutique near my area, I could see this look forming & immediately I thought to myself, *BLOG MOMENT!!*

One thing about me is that I LOVE to mix & match items from my wardrobe. I always try to create more than one look for clothes that I have. Some are easier to recreate than others, but that's the fun part for me. Getting creative and thinking outside the box. I hope to do more blog posts of outfits that I remix into different looks.

Beautiful Winter

It's November and it's hardly cold. This is amazing different.  Normally, I like to have my hair put away for the winter season, its easier to manage and also prevents any sort of unnecessary breakages. I have been blessed with good healthy hair (I inherited this from my Mother) so my hair doesn't break, yet I believe
Prevention is better than cure!
It has been some time since I last had weave but I decided to put my hair away, so I did a middle parting style on my own head. I started doing my own hair when I was around 17, after some disappointing hair experiences. Now, I do have individuals I trust to do my hair, but from time to time I D.I.M (do it myself).

Blessed on the journey

A very good friend of mine, had her engagement service/celebration recently. This was my first time ever attending a service for an engagement, I wasn't sure what to expect,  but it was absolutely lovely!  Friends and family came out to support them both on their journey towards marriage. Words of encouragement from older couples, happily married for over 20 years, speaking from experience and with wisdom. It was a great day!

This dress is actually a floor length maxi dress, which is very narrow at the bottom and restricts me from walking normally. I decided to gather it up on one side so that I could walk around freely & also it allowed the shoes to be seen.

Bag is from my Mummy, from her early days in the UK. Shoes were given to me as a birthday gift for my 20th birthday- What a lovely gift! Nude brown nail polish from Barry M.
Nothing new was bought for this outfit, which I am VERY pleased about! Everything was mixed & matched from what I already have in my wardrobe; my cre…

Winter in Style

Recently I have discovered how much I really like Navy blue and Brown. Navy has become my new black. It seems to go with most things I have in my wardrobe. Really chuffed about that!
