OOTD - The Blanket

Modesty is possible even from high street shops, you just have to get creative with it. Sometimes you do have to go the extra mile in order to maintain decently dressed for an outfit, but it is totally worth it, because you are too!

The tools used for this creation....
This Maxi skirt is really nice, I even have it in 3 different colours. I got them at a bargain price of £2 each and was so pleased with my purchase. As nice as the skirts are, they are so tight! I even had to get them 1-2 sizes up to get extra moving space, and even then it didn't make a huge difference.

As it's knitted it figure hugs, doesn't flow like other maxi items and generally just shows everything about your shape [Just for the record, that is NOT a good look and yes it matters!]

Since I purchased it I have worn it around the house with long cardigans and had a few stretching sessions to sort of break them in, as you would with shoes, if they are tight at first. It's loosened up a bit but not enough to be worn as a high waist skirt and a tucked in top... that would not be a good look, as it will just show so much bottom and shape. Over sized jumpers with no belt work well over the skirt, but that look is not for everyone.

So if you are to recreate a look similar to this with a maxi skirt like this, definitely layer it up or have something to cover the back, as the skirt won't flow.

Remember: Modesty is possible.

The tools used for this creation....
This item here is in fact a blanket, as stated in the title. I get cold really easily and so for my birthday I was given a blanket to keep me warm around the house. It is so warm!...It has a cut out section towards the front so that you can really wrap it around yourself properly and be fully covered, but when I was handed this lovely gift, I knew I wouldn't use it just for that purpose!

If you really did like this type of look for winter and wanted to recreate something similar, you can still achieve this with an over sized cardigan or jumper instead.

Outfit tools avec black 'undergarment' aka leggings.

.::The Look put together ::.

I decided to give it an Asymmetric Look, but other
styles are possible with this one item.
I chose white accessories, because it broke away from the
dark colours already in the outfit and really made it POP!

See you at my next post... (",)

Piece of truth for the heart:

As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion. - Proverbs 11:22

Discretion defined: The quality of behaving or speaking in such a way as to avoid causing offense or revealing private information.
