Celebrating His Rainbow

I am celebrating His rainbow with these colourful looks. I believe that colours are from the Lord and we see it in creation, through flowers and animals that He created.

Revelations 4:11 tells us:
"You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For you created all things, and they exist because you created what you pleased."

Our Lord and God, You are worthy to receive glory and honor and power, because You have created all things, and because of Your will they exist and were created.

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

This truth encourages me so much and testifies that I am here on this earth for His good pleasure! - and so are you! It's so easy to sometimes live our lives without remembering that we are here; living and breathing because He wills for us to live and breathe. For in Him we live and move and have our being; as even some of your own poets have said, ‘for we are indeed his offspring. ~ Acts 17:28

I look at the state of the world and the church (examining myself also as I am the member of His body) and I just ask the Lord for His mercy. I pray that He would awaken me and the other members to what we are to be like day to day, and then what are we to do in order to be His fully functioning body, full of love and righteous standards.

My favourite colour happens to be green, and my wardrobe confirms this for sure! I have styled this lovely skirt before in my post on 'Modest Dressing Essentials- Tips for Skirts', but this time round I choose to complement it with red and yellow.

Celebrating His Rainbow:
A conversation with a brother of mine recently has had me remembering the reason why the Lord gave us the rainbow, and what it truly symbolises despite what the world says or shows us. The truth of the matter remains the same...the rainbow is a sign of HIS covenant to us.
"I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth. And God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth.” ” - Genesis 9:13-17

As the bride of Christ, it's so important to remind ourselves of what He said and meant, so that we don't be deceived, desensitised or discouraged by lies. Run to the word for comfort and clarity on what is what in this world, remembering that He is sovereign!'The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to Him.' - Psalms‬ 24‬:‭1‬.

Next time you see a rainbow not associated with the Lord...don't be discouraged. Be of good cheer and remember that our God reigns and that His promise is still true!
